Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
