The evident and clear fact that the Jesus from scripture requests a kind of profound affection concentrated on the poor has consistently rendered the Christian faith somewhat of a controversial faith: appealing to the general public, but due to its intrinsic extremism needing to be contained. In the 1950s it was contained through watering down – Protestantism was so prevalent that it basically baptized the status quo.
A Struggle for the Best Within Us
Therefore I have felt encouraged to see the determined opposition against Trump emerge during the previous year.
